Judith K Godlewski of Avon Lake died after a four year cancer battle at the Cleveland Clinic. She taught elementary students in Lorain and St Anthony School and mentored two sons Ken and Don with husband Robert for 54 years. She supported CYO programs, sung in church choirs, and remained active with friends until illness. Memorials to St Jude are requested.
Millie, 92, longtime Columbia Station resident, died November 23 2017. She helped found a Lake Helen food pantry aiding hundreds. Survived by husband Clair sons Johnny Tim Scott and families. Funeral November 27 2017 at Allen Summerhill DeLand with viewing 3 to 5 PM. Donations to Lake Helen Food Pantry preferred.
Theodore P Janus 98 of Elyria dies November 24 2017 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII and worked as a shipping manager for Stanadyne Moen. He is survived by two children six grandchildren nine great grandchildren and a sister in law. Burial with military honors at Resthaven Memory Gardens Avon follows a 10 AM to 12 Noon service. Memorials to Disabled American Veterans are suggested.
James W. Quillen Jr. 64 of Webster Springs West Virginia died November 23 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital Morgantown. He worked 33 years at Ford Brook Park Ohio and enjoyed outdoors music and family. He is survived by Pamela his wife children grandchildren siblings and many relatives. Visitation November 28 2017 at Midway Baptist Church Elyria with funeral November 29 2017. Burial at River Road Cemetery LaGrange.
Elyria Catholic High School invites grades six to eight to a Christmas Cookies class on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon in the foods and nutrition room. The $20 course teaches easy cookie making with registration at the school site and Annie Cunningham as contact.
Kathleen Manion-Rylance died November 18 2017 in North Carolina after a long illness. She was born May 9 1962 and graduated from Elyria Catholic High School College and Kent State University. Survived by husband Ross Rylance mother Laureen Manion and brothers Jeff Michael. nephew Joshua and niece Mary. No funeral service planned.
Jenny Ann Fuller died November 22 2017 at age 79 born in Elyria Ohio a graduate of Elyria High School class of 1956 She studied at the Cleveland Institute of Art the Philadelphia College of Bible and Cleveland State University She is survived by Jennifer Deal Aaron and David Connorth grandchildren Jenna Alanna Aaron Elijah and Jessica A celebration of life will be held at Bethel Baptist Church Elyria 10170 W Ridge Rd at 11 AM December 2 2017 Light lunch to follow
Nicholas Hill, 51, of Elyria, died November 22, 2017, at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. He is survived by mother Sandra Pettis, stepfather Dan Pettis, brother Mark Hill, daughter Sandra Hill of Texas, and son Joseph Hill of Lorain. father Fred Hill.
