Rattay's Elyria Catholic Triumph Captures 1983 Title
Elyria Catholic defeats Urbana 14-9 to win the Ohio Division II state championship before 22,000 at Ohio Stadium. Coach Jim Rattay hails the team as best ever, noting Al McKinney's 70-yard rush and a stout defense that bottles up Urbana standout Greg Rogan. The Panthers finish 13-0, securing the program's second state crown.
