Lorain County deer harvest may set state record
Lorain County faces a potential all time deer harvest during next weeks shotgun season with forecasters predicting over 100 deer. Last year Lorain totals hit 149 in gun plus archery and primitive weapons. Statewide 1981 set an all time high with 47 634 deer tagged. Ohio wildlife officials anticipate more than 240 000 hunters statewide.
