Ohio Power asks state commission to approve new power rates
The Ohio Power Co. asks the State Utilities Commission to approve start of new wholesale power rates for its Sunnyside division in southeastern Ohio. The plan sets a $42 annual charge for 4 060 kilowatt hours and 3.002365 per kWh thereafter, fluctuating with coal costs. Monthly coal-cost statements would set bills for the following month, with updates to wholesale customers. Availability starts for customers using at least 1 000 kilowatt hours monthly.
