Nine year old boy killed in I- to Patton auto crash
Wellington reports a nine year old, Robert Francia Trexler, died at Falls Clinic from skull fractures after a Wednesday evening collision on Route 18 west of Brighton. Brother Harold, six, is seriously injured. Other Akron residents were lightly hurt. The Trexlers were en route to Patton to spend Thanksgiving. Robert’s body was taken to Keith Andrews home for shipment to Palton for burial.

Carey T Winckles, 63, of Ridgeville, died at Elyma Memorial Hospital at 11 30 am after a short illness caused by heart trouble. He was born May 22 1869 on the family farm, led road construction work, and for 20 years presided over the Elyria Construction Company. He chaired the county agricultural society, served on the county school board, and was a farmer and dairyman. He belonged to Ridgeville Grange and the Lorain County Automobile Club, and helped with county fairs. He celebrated his fortieth wedding anniversary with Grace Winckles on October 18. He is survived by his wife, a daughter Ruth Richards, two grandsons Thomas and William, a sister and a brother.
