10000 Cures For Hiccoughs Suggested To Afflicted Man
Mansfield November 25 In the American Credo there are 10000 hiccough cures ranging from water to shock and medicine. Ira A King a garage man hiccoughed two weeks until an operation cured him. Publicity drew testimonials from many who offered cures that mostly failed. Suggestions included firing revolvers, doctors presenting bills, rare musks, black ears with fingers, champagne, mustard plaster, holding a spoon, holding breath, drinking water, ear pressure with rapid water, coins between toes, breathing into a bag, ice cream, oil of cloves, canned damson plums, and a banana, among others.
