Columbia HS teacher identified among MGM Grand victims
The body of Carol Mayer a Columbia High School French and math teacher was identified as one of two found in an MGM Grand Hotel room in Las Vegas. Mayer 36 and roommate Lori Ann Nose 19 were part of a Cleveland dance group staying for a ballroom competition. Mayer was described as a gifted educator respected by staff and students. A memorial fund is being established at Elshia Savings and Trust Bank in Columbia Station.
