Dan McKenna rushes for 96 yards on 24 carries with two two yard TDs, Chris Marshall adds a 91 yard effort and a TD, Jim Oder handles all three extra points as Newark Catholic dominates with a stout defense and sustained second quarter scoring drives. Clearview finishes 9-3 behind a late first half near-miss and a long drive stifled by penalties.

Citibank raises prime rate to 11 percent in bid

New York Citibank the nations second largest bank increased its prime lending rate by 1 percentage point to 11 percent the highest in four years for top corporate customers. Other banks were expected to follow suit within a week as they match Citibanks move and size may temper the speed of uptake.

U S Steel Corp confirmed price increases on about 75 percent of its steel mill products effective January 1. Tragic Thanksgiving crash kills Wakeman couple in Pittsfield

A Thanksgiving Day crash on Route 303 near Hallover Road in Pittsfield Township south of Elyria killed James F. Love age 75 and Eva Love age 64 of Wakeman. Three others, including the Loves' grandson Kevin Bursley, 16, were injured. the box causing the accident was a packing carton for tissue paper. Funeral arrangements for the Loves were to be announced.
