Broken wing strut tied to Wellington air crash clues

In Wellington Ohio a broken wing strut found near the Big Four tracks is urged as the strongest clue yet to the fatal air crash that killed John F Requarth and badly injured Milo Vortheimer. Two Die as Plane Catches Fire at Ford Airport

Detroit, Nov. 24 two men were killed when a tri motor experimental plane being tested at Ford Airport caught fire and flipped during landing Myron E Zeller 24 pilot and Carl Wenzel 30 mechanic perished after flames erupted from two engines as they approached the ground both died at the wreckage site

Church Scene Of Small Fire At Holy Cross Church

A small blaze under the platform in the basement of Holy Cross Church West Avenue this afternoon caused little damage. Fire Company No. 1 arrived to find the fire extinguished. A small hole was burned in the floor. Chief W N Bates said the fire started from a lighted candle used for light while materials were stored under the platform.

Cold wave shifts east with snow expected in central states

The far western cold wave moved eastward into the central states as weather observers forecast snow and very low temperatures this week. Rain was expected to change to snow today or tomorrow across a broad middle western region, with temperatures dropping well below freezing in many areas from the central plains to Colorado.

Heavy weekend crashes claim many lives in Ohio

An United Press survey shows weekend tragedies across Ohio. Lima victims Dr. Nevergall 23 and May A. Snyder 17 died when their car collided with a passenger train. Columbus man James Roberts 45 died when his auto overturned after skidding near Cutler. Four deaths occurred in Cleveland, including Dr. F Allen Lang 28 former John Carroll football star. A triple collision near Franklin Corners killed Mrs Anna Blower 35. her husband Clark was seriously injured. Nine injured in Toledo crash. several others harmed in collisions at Marion Columbus and Cuyahoga Falls.

Boy Dies Ignoring Fire to Save Horse in Lorain

Louis Leach, 14, colored, of 118 Seventeenth Street, ran into a burning barn behind his home in Lorain to save his father's horse. He and the horse perished. Coroner Myles E Perry said the boy rushed in after seeing the blaze and could not be stopped by his family. Firemen investigated the cause.
