Avon Lake swimer O'Rourke leads SWC rebound with 200 IM push
Ethan O'Rourke, a veteran Avon Lake swimmer, hopes to lower his 200 IM to 1 minute 56 seconds and lift the Shoremen under a new coaching staff. Avon Lake, led by coach Steve Manderfield, aims to climb from recent SWC finishes as they rebuild relays and team depth with support from longtime staff.

Sustersic eyes big season for Elyria Catholic swimming
Sustersic, a 5 foot 6 inch, 135 pound senior, leads Elyria Catholic as the Panthers push for state. Her past seasons include strong finishes and a 2011 disqualification in the 400 free relay that cost points and a district spot. Coach Dibee expects her to anchor sprint freestyles and guide a 19-member squad through sectional pressure and relays. She has committed to Wheeling Jesuit University and focuses on peak times while supporting teammates.
