MEG agent shoots Lorain man in Vermilion parking lot
Tyrone Kocak, 27, of 311 Hamilton Ave, Lorain, was shot and killed by a Metropolitan Enforcement Group agent during an apparent drug investigation altercation Friday night outside Our Place Tavern at 1875 Liberty Ave Vermilion. The agent’s name was not released. The shooting occurred about 10 15 p m and the victim died at Lorain Community Hospital. The coroner will determine the cause of death. Police say it is unclear if Kocak had a weapon. Information is being turned over to the Lorain County Prosecutor. Vermilion police provided limited details.
