Council approves $200000 storm sewer project
Elykla traffic on Second Avenue will be narrowed to one lane for about six months early next year as a storm sewer installation for the City Hall and justice center proceeds. The work, expected to begin in January, will reduce road capacity while the sewer is extended to handle runoff from new buildings. The sanitary sewer serves the area, thus no upgrade is needed. The council also approved creating a one person City Planning Department and reorganizing Building and Community Development posts, plus building permit fee increases.
