Wellington district schools will recess at 2 p.m. Wednesday for the Thanksgiving holiday. Classes will resume December 2 at the usual times, per school officials.

Southern Lorain County Hospital Auxiliary hosts its annual bazaar on December 6 at First Methodist Church basement. An antique jewelry trunk from Wight Jewelry Store and items like an antique rocking chair, two German dolls, cruets and goblets are featured. Proceeds support a wheel stretcher for the hospital recovery room.
AMVETS Post 162 will sponsor a turkey shoot Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Roy Cottrell farm at Jones and Quarry roads. Proceeds go to a fund for a veterans monument for Vietnam and Korea War service. Shells provided. open to area sportsmen.
