Eighteen Firelands District students escaped injury when their 65 passenger bus burned on Rowell Road in Camden Township. Driver Theresa Coultrip smelled trouble, moved students off, parked the bus, and used a fire extinguisher as smoke emerged from the engine.
Elyria Lorain County voters will face a second ballot on a 1.15 mill levy for five years. County commissioners set a special election for February 3 to decide the measure after it failed in the last general election.
