Power crews battle outages after nor'easter heat ice

Winds gusting and ice coated trees cut power to thousands across Connecticut and Massachusetts. Dozens of schools closed as utility crews from multiple states worked to restore service after the weekend storm, with over 60,000 outages in Connecticut and about 18,000 in central Massachusetts by noon. Rare Leonid meteor shower may be largest this century

London reports predicted a record Leonid display with hundreds of meteors per hour across Europe Africa and then North America amid clouds and moonlight. NASA expert Don Yeomans says this could be the best show for a century and observers are urged to look up for about 15 minutes tonight as the shower peaks twice.
