Four Lorain residents hurt in Detroit plane crash
Two Lorain area residents were among four Ortner Air Service employees injured when a twin-engined light plane crashed on takeoff at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. The plane, carrying bumper arm supports for Ford’s Montego, lost power and nosedived from about 30 feet. Talcott, Stipe, Kater, and Martin were hospitalized. Talcott in critical condition with chest injuries and leg fractures.
