Vermilion head football coach Matt Kobal dies at 42

Vermilion Sailors head coach Matt Kobal, a Vermilion native and 1998 graduate, died Friday prompting tributes from players and peers. Athletic director Andy Stillman called him a mentor to every student. Kobal had just one season at the helm and recently was elected president of the Lorain County Football Coaches Association.
