William T. Linden 73 8 of Avon Ohio died November 17 2010 at New Life Hospice in Lorain after a five year cancer battle. A self employed general contractor for 45 years he is survived by wife Barbara two sons Jeffrey and James two daughters Judy and Jennifer six grandchildren one great granddaughter five sisters and other relatives. Theodore Ted Zaborowski 62 of Sheffield Lake died November 17 2010 at Cleveland Clinic after a long illness. He was born April 7 1948 in Lorain lived there his whole life and is survived by his wife Hoa and siblings. He served in the US Army 1969 to 1971 and worked 39 years as an electrician for U S Steel retiring 2008. Funeral services Friday November 19 and mass November 20 at St Thomas the Apostle. Burial with military honors at Calvary Cemetery.
A derailment on the Norfolk and Southern main line between Bellevue and Buffalo damaged about a quarter mile of track and halted traffic. No injuries reported. cleanup and repair costs are not yet estimated.
Carolyn Hann 82 of Elyria died November 16 2010 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home in Lorain after a long illness. Born July 14 1928 in Columbus she lived in Elyria since 1935 and retired from Ridge Tool Company in 1993 after 35 years in customer sales service. She also sold Avon for 30 years and was active in dance organizations. Funeral services were set for November 20 at Midway Baptist Church with interment at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Amherst.
Norma Jean Wright 80 of Kent died Monday November 15 2010 at Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service Care Center in Copley. She was born November 17 1929 in Fremont Ohio to Dewey L and Lucy R Kiser and lived in Roots Town Elyria and Kent with her daughter Lu Ann the last four years. A retired independent direct marketer for Home Interiors and Gifts 27 years she was a Campfire Leader and member of Ottawa Shooting Club Detroit Sportsman Club and Sons of Herman Association. She enjoyed camping gardening fishing and family gatherings. Survived by children Trish Faist Canton Joseph E Wright Oconomowoc WI and Lu Ann Shrigley Kent grandchildren Leezette Tonya Michael Kara Vicky Joey great grandchildren Miranda and Cheyenne and her beloved pets. She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Joe Wright in 2001 and by brothers Robert Carroll Jack Kiser. Memorial services 2 30 PM Saturday November 20 2010 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home. Rescue crews extracted Durbin-Sasach from the wreck as an emergency helicopter stood by from Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center. Wind delays prevented immediate airlift.
