Cognitive style map guides Oakland CC students learning
Oakland Community College in Detroit uses a cognitive style map to tailor courses to individual students. The program tests decision making and proprioception and kinesthetic awareness and correlates results to help choose study methods and prescribe education plans. About 30 percent of faculty participate and early results show course success rising to 87 percent from a 50 percent average.

Residents plan meeting on Lear Nagle Road school bus safety
Lear Nagle residents set a public meeting for Monday at 8 p m at Lear North School to discuss busing, with calls for temporary bus service and sidewalks from Mills Road to the school. City engineers study the area as property owners sign petitions. turnout will include council members, the school board, parents and interested residents.
