College-credit exchange eyed to curb degree shortages
The Lumina Foundation reports over 2.1 million Midwestern residents have some college but no degree. Nationally one in five adults aged 25-64 has some college experience without a degree. Advocates warn of a potential 1.5 million degree-holders shortage by 2025, urging completion of existing credits. Missouri Senate leader Charlie Shields chaired the coalition last year, discussing the exchange.
