Book tells New London priest WWII ordeal Father Duffy
Dan Murr signs his book But Deliver Us from Evil Father Duffy and the Men of Bataan this weekend in Wakeman and New London. The late priest served as Our Lady of Lourdes pastor from 1946 to 1958 and was a WWII Army chaplain captured during the Bataan Death March. He endured torture and prison camp before the war's end. Murr, a longtime journalist, also notes Duffy’s postwar Legion roles and Pearl Harbor connection.
