Radio Reception Improves As Sun Spots Fade in 1934
Dr Harlan True Stetson of Perkins Observatory at Wesleyan Univ Delaware Ohio told the Central Ohio Physics Club that radio reception will steadily improve as sun spot activity declines, with storms not recurring until 1934. He and Dr Greenleaf W Pickard of Boston have studied carrier fluctuations since 1926, noting ionization from solar energy disrupts reception during peak activity. Also includes a recipe section for corn muffins bran muffins and date muffins.
