Indoor ski resort plan canceled in Riverhead
Riverhead Town Board voted 4-1 to cancel the 750 acre indoor ski project at a former Grumman plant in Calverton after Scottish developer Riverhead Resorts failed to deliver a 3.9 million payment. Town Supervisor Sean Walter called the deal a dream, while chief John Niven hoped for reconsideration once funds arrive.
