Windy Storm Causes Power Outages in Elyria and South Amherst
Strong winds and heavy rain hit the area this morning causing about 2,400 Ohio Edison customers in Elyria and South Amherst to lose electricity. A spokesman said a large tree limb pulled down power lines on 626 East Ave, interrupting service.

Windy conditions cause regional power outages and cold snap
Power outages affected about 1 400 customers in the south city area for 45 minutes and roughly 1 000 customers in Pyle South Amherst Road and Route 113 as high winds crossed lines near 10 a m.
