Three crew members of the Brit-2 freighter Silver Hazel were plucked from a tiny raft off a storm battered southern Luzon coast. U S Destroyer Peary and two ships stood by as the Luzon Tug Trabajador and Governor General joined efforts to reach the wrecked vessel amid heavy seas and lashing rain. Rescue boats repeatedly failed due to surf and rip tides as more than 20 hours passed with victims clinging to a rain soaked rock near Bernardino Island awaiting relief.

City Loses Suit To Collect On Bond For Damage To Streets
The City of Elsrna lost its case against National Surety Company to recover 214 900 for street damages caused by unremoved rails of the defunct Cleveland Southwestern Traction. Judge Findley ruled the damages claim was seized in the bankruptcy action filed in Cleveland in June 1932. The court noted premiums on the bond had not been paid for several years.

Milk Producers Threaten To Boycott Lorain
Lorain County milk producers threaten a boycott of the Lorain market unless the milk price situation is adjusted soon. A resolution was passed by more than 10 producers meeting at Carlisle Grange Hall after some Lorain retailers reduced milk to nine cents a quart while others held to one cent. Park A. City Accepts Gift of 19 Acres for Park Plan
City Council last night directed Solicitor Harvey Chener to draft a resolution accepting a gift of 19 acres of wooded land for a park from Judge and Mrs. Guy B. Findler. The tract lies between Gulf and Abbe roads, features a scenic ravine to be preserved, and may be augmented with adjoining Gulf Road property now owned by the city. U S Budgetary Plans Threatened by Tax Shortfalls
Washington Nov 12 The treasury reported that failure to collect more than 150 million in processing taxes since July 1 threatens federal budget plans.
