Veterans of Foreign Wars Observe Armistice with Feast
The Ladies of the Veterans of Foreign Wars hosted a Nov 11 banquet at the G A R Hall for local veterans marking the armistice anniversary. A 2 chicken feast ended with apple pie and French war songs, followed by a 2nd Drum Corps program and VFW ten piece orchestra. The hall featured chrysanthemums donated in memory of Wilbur Lyon Gilson who died at the Argonne front.
