Blue Cross seeks limits on catastrophic elder care coverage
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Ohio filed a request with the Ohio Department of Insurance to cap catastrophic benefits for seniors under Medifill. The plan would raise premiums for 125,000 elderly and non-group subscribers by 38 to 41.7 percent and alter yearly caps on nursing and outpatient psychiatric care. State Rep. John Bara criticized the move and said he would mobilize officials to oppose it.
