VW offers 1000 gift cards and vouchers to 482000 U.S. diesel VW and Audi owners as a goodwill gesture amid an emissions scandal. The package includes a $500 Visa card, a $500 dealership voucher, and three years of free roadside assistance while VW works on a remedy.
Volkswagen and Audi will give owners of 482,000 affected US vehicles a $500 Visa gift card, a $500 dealership card, and free 24 hour roadside assistance for three years. Eligible models include 2009 2015 Jetta and Golf, Beetle, Passat, and 2009 2013 2015 Audi A3. Owners must register by April 30 and can keep suing VW. Gift cards cannot fix emissions systems, and the program runs alongside a $2,000 trade in incentive.
