Firment Answers Call as Avon Lake Closes Year Strong
Nick Firment, who began the junior season on JV, seized the starting job after an injury to Tim Harris. He led Avon Lake through a stingy defense and a punishing run game, beating Midpark 34 9 and steering the Shoremen to a late charge that included a rainy Amherst finale where the attack clicked for the first time. Firment credits the play action and a calm, focused locker room as key to their late run toward Ashland.
