Peach Leaf Curl Spray Advised By OSU Extension
Fall spraying for peach leaf curl is advised by Ohio State University extension specialists led by C. I. Mummel, county agricultural extension agent. Sprays may be applied after leaf fall and temperatures exceed 46 degrees, with fall timing preferred due to uncertain spring results. Formulas include seven gallons liquid lime sulfur or 15 pounds dry lime sulfur per 100 gallons water, or four pounds blue vitriol to eight pounds lime with 5 gallons water. Lorain County reports light curling this year due to a dry spring, but orchardists should spray now for next year.
