Cuyahoga County Christmas Sale Sets 28th Annual Event
The Second Mile Shop in Berea hosts its 28th annual Christmas sale November 20 21 22 at 398 Bagley Road with proceeds aiding Church Street Ministries crisis services for county residents. Featured items include Santas wreaths linens cards and vintage collectibles. Proceeds support outreach serving 1500 families last year.

First U S bovine tissue heart valve implanted in Toledo patient
Rick Sobecki a 56 year old from Toledo underwent open heart surgery in October after joining a clinical trial for a bovine tissue heart valve. The procedure, first in the United States, is tested in 40 hospitals and aims for a 15 year lifespan without lifelong blood thinning.
