Girl 8 Leads Brother to Safety After Plane Crash
In Las Vegas an eight year old girl guided her dazed 11 year old brother across desert terrain after a single engine plane crash that killed their mother and the pilot. The girl Rochelle Krumpeck led Randy to a road after directing searchers to the crash site. Two others died Ruth Krumpeck and Ron Griffin. The siblings were found near a Las Vegas truck stop and later released from hospital to police care. The flight originated in San Jose with a stop in Bakersfield before heading to Las Vegas.

He said from the hospital he felt pretty good and thanked supporters. Surgeons spent about three hours on the procedure, with results still uncertain.
