Post's Old Ship To Smithsonian Nears Completion For Purchase
Washington reports that Wiley Post's famed plane the Win Mac is nearing completion for the Smithsonian Institution purchase after months of delay. Congress funded 25000 for the sale, with conditions to keep the craft exactly as when Post flew worldwide and to determine safe transport from Bartlesville, Ohio. Museum officials fear alterations would erase the plane's historic value, so officials plan to supervise final installation and shipping by road and train if needed.
