Girl receives five organs in pioneering transplant
Charlie Fourstar, a Sioux girl from Fort Peck, Montana, underwent a 16 hour operation receiving a liver stomach pancreas and small and large intestine. Two days later doctors report all five organs functioning well. The transplant aims to cure short gut syndrome and let her eat normally.
