Vermilion officer and dispatcher fired for on duty misconduct
Vermilion Police Department terminated Patrolman David Jones and Dispatcher Katie Kovach after disciplinary hearings found they engaged in sex while on duty. Chief Hartung labeled the acts gross misconduct and said Kovach conspired with Jones to meet during on duty times.

Attorney seeks charge dismissed in toddler death case

Eight Arrested in Multi-County Drug Trafficking Bust
Eight individuals indicted for a drug trafficking network operating in Ashland Medina and Wayne counties. The 116 charges include six counts of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity related to heroin and cocaine distribution.
