Cremation gains traction with new memorial reef offshore
Cremation becomes an accepted option with services offering urns and a Floramorial soil mix. Neptune Society CEO Jerry Norman unveils the Neptune Memorial Reef offshore Miami as a living memorial holding cremated remains in concrete, bronze plaques, and a 16 acre site. The project aims to hold over 125,000 remains and open sales for phase one of 1,100 placements, with prices from 1500 to 7000 dollars and plans for a living marine habitat. Legal tips stress obtaining permission before scattering remains and noting park permit limits.
