The Lorain County Dry Federation asks local business and professional leaders to share views on current Prohibition in contrast to prior rules. Elyria mayor A R Jones argues against the Wet Amendment asserting it would worsen law enforcement by requiring doubled police forces and inviting lax enforcement, noting beverage arrests have already fallen to about 30 percent of pre dry-law levels and urging voters to defeat the measure.
