Man arrested after police pursuit in Lorain
Patrick Cofield 42 of Oberlin Avenue was charged with failure to comply with a police officer order and for fleeing after a pursuit. He drove a Chevy Malibu with one headlight, continued through West 17th Street, stopped in a Hamilton Avenue driveway, and claimed he feared police nationwide. Passenger Carl Casey, 57, was cited for open container and released. Cofield also faced a driving while impaired suspension citation.

Man Falls From Wall Near Chestnut Street in Elyria
A man fell from an 8 foot stone wall behind 15 Chestnut Street near the Black River in Elyria and was flown to MetroHealth Medical Center after initial treatment at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. Fire Lt. Rick Thrasher said the area is known as a drinking spot and the man appeared intoxicated. Fire crews used extra help due to darkness roots and a sloped hill.
