State crews mobilize from 15 states to restore Northeast power

After a heavy snowstorm crushed the region, more than 3 million customers lost power from Maryland to Maine. Connecticut Light & Power said crews from 15 states were sent to help, with 1.7 million residents still in the dark and many areas hit by long outages and fuel shortages. Shelters housed the elderly and disabled as temperatures remained chilly, and at least 23 deaths were blamed on the storm, including one in Canada.
