Guantanamo inmate Omar Khadr given eight year sentence

Omar Khadr, once 15 and captured in Afghanistan, is sentenced by a military judge to eight more years at Guantanamo under a plea deal. The military jury, told the plea would be sealed, had sought up to life for five war crimes counts, including killing an American soldier. He will seek parole or return to Canada after one more year in custody.
