Texas churches helped pave Vatican Anglican conversion plan
In Saint Mary the Virgin Texas, a 75 year old priest is married and parishioners kneel to receive Communion. The Vatican’s October move eases Anglican converts to Catholicism, aiming to unify the churches while preserving some traditional Anglican practices. The decision, secretive and prompted by conservative Anglicans, could lead to a nationwide Anglo Catholic structure within the Catholic Church, expanding from early cases like Our Lady of the Atonement in 1983.
