Cedar Point to Open Greatest Thrill Ride in 1976
SANDUSKY Cedar Point announces the Great Lake Erie Roller a corkscrew coaster described as the greatest thrill ride ever built. The $1.75 million structure is part of a $2.5 million midway expansion for the 1976 season opening May 15. The six car ride spans 2050 feet on five acres with three upside down turns over two tubular steel tracks.
