Trained Librarians Are Badly Needed in Ohio
COLUMBUS The state library reports an education director says 500 professionally trained librarians are added in public college and statewide libraries throughout Ohio. Librarian Waller-Brahm notes many of approximately 60, professionally trained workers leave due to low wages and other work. Daily calls to Ohio State Library’s free placement service show demand. Four years of college plus one year of specialized library training are required for a library degree.
