Flying rabbis fill need in small Dallas-area synagogues
Hebrew Union Institute students serve as part time rabbis for congregations from the Rockies to the Everglades. Brown presides, teaches, and officiates in Colleyville while Beth Israel awaits its own synagogue. Shana Goldstein and Daniel Septimus also volunteer in Natchez and Rapid City, sharing practical training with local Jews.
