Police chase tops Lake avenue at 1am amid gunfire
Police Captain C. E. Southam and Patrolman Ernest Oldag pursued a speeding car along Lake avenue. Oldag fired five times, flattening two tires and hitting the rear bumper. The driver Len Schultz, 20, of Detroit, resisted, was grabbed, and a loaded 25 caliber revolver found on him. The car belonged to Mrs. B. M. Kane of Cleveland Heights. authorities plan charges for concealed weapon and auto theft.

Anarchist Executed for Plot to Kill Mussolini
Michele Schirra, a 32 year old anarchist and naturalized American, was executed at sunrise in Rome for plotting to assassinate Premier Benito Mussolini. Thirty two Ridgeville High graduates received diplomas at the sixth annual commencement in the school auditorium. Dr. L W Raymond of the United States Veterans Bureau gave the address. Ellen Morgan delivered the valedictory as Kenneth Lang presented the class roll and Leonarda Brickman accepted it. Principal Glen West presented the class and W A Schmittgen, president of the board, conferred diplomas. Musical numbers included a vocal solo by Agnes Rethgerg, a clarinet solo by Doris Standen, a Senior Girls Glee Club song, and pieces by the school orchestra. The event closed a week of activities including the baccalaureate service and senior farewell convocation.

Grand jurors indicted 27 persons and returned 21 true bills in a five day session ending this morning. Sherman Wall of Elyria was not indicted and will be released from county jail.
