London May 29 Thousands of persons are reported killed in Persia by a powerful earthquake. The despatch quotes information received by the Pioneer through Allahabad. The casualty toll is not confirmed.
Walter Levandosky formerly of Lorain was arrested last night at his Huntington township farm by Sheriff Underhill and a posse on illicit still charges. A ravine hideout contained the still, six gallons of liquor, and six barrels of mash. He was arraigned before Judge Webber, fined $1000, and jailed until costs are paid. The wife said the still came from Fred Regal, a witness in the Steiner murder case.
