Rapture leads to drowning at Contra Loma park
Victor Frasno and his brother tried to swim across an 80 acre reservoir at Contra Loma Regional Park after Frasno believed God would help him. The two brothers and sister in law struggled in frigid water and Frasno drowned after a chaotic incident that ended with him far from shore. Investigators cited the rapture belief as a possible factor in the tragedy.
