Brookside Art Show Highlights Student Talent at Brookside High
Brookside High School hosted an art show sponsored by the Sheffield Lake Art Association. Top awards included Best of Show to Art IV student Troy Harper for a pencil drawing titled Pain. Art IV Rob Radcliffe and Rick Sheaves placed first and second. Pattie Reed third with honorable mention. Art III winners were Elisha Bradbury first and Denise Schupback second, Eric Torres third, Heather Belfi honorable mention. Art IV Rob Scarvelli first, Jason Rodriguez second, Dawn Hatch third, Tyrone Manhoff honorable mention. Art I winners were Heather Muckleroy first, Jason Bizup second, Todd Moore third, Matt Norwood honorable mention.

Smoking survey scam targets Lorain residents warning issued
Lorain Community Hospital warns residents of Lorain and Erie counties about callers posing as hospital staff to conduct a so called smoking survey and offer cash rewards. Call the Marketing Department at 960-3182 with information. A water rescue seminar co hosted by the Coast Guard and Ohio DNR with St Vincent Charity Hospital will be held June 9 and 10 for public safety personnel. the fee is 15 dollars and more information is available from Marketing at 363-2675.
