Avon Lake School Trip and Kiwanis Committee Appointments
Fifth grade students from Avon Lake School visited the Cleveland Health Museum Friday morning accompanied by teacher Katherine Lacey and Mr. Hurst. Seven Kiwanis Club committee members were appointed at the last meeting including Mel Anderson Antone Vittone Kate Canfield Dr. Carlson Kari Fjeldstad George Heiber and Maurice Katz. The Kiwanis meet Thursdays at 6:15 p m at the Saddle on Lake Rd. A kindergarten and first grade round-up is set for June 4 at Erieview School with two sessions 10 15 a m and 1 30 p m. Children must be five by Sept 1.

Forage Tour Set For June 8 At Oberlin Area Farms
Dr J L Haynes of Ohio Agriculture Experiment Station will lead a forage tour and discussion on June 8 sponsored by the extension forage and pasture committee. The 8 p.m. start at Corwin Burrer farm will cover rotational grazing clipping plans fertilizer and lime programs to maintain meadow stands. The group then visits Ray Streicher farm to learn about seeding results and ends at 9 30 at Carlisle Grange Hall Route 20 Elyria for Q and A.
