Ohio Attorney General Bricker ruled that a person who practiced barbering in another state and seeks to operate in Ohio must obtain from a state whose requirements are substantially the same as Ohio’s. The applicant must prove by sworn affidavit two years of barbering in the other state prior to Ohio registration or that the other state recognizes Ohio’s hours. The ruling allows refusal to recognize hours but cannot order school closures. it was requested by the state board.
